“Best of My Love” is one of my favorite Eagle songs. I used to play it and sing it in bands many years ago. I tried to do a cover version of this song and it kept falling flat. Then I had an idea to completely change the feel of the song to 6/8 and give it a kind of gospel-like feel. It became much grander and I really liked the way it came out. I like taking someone else’s song and making it my own.
