"Home Is Where the Hearth Is"is the second solo piano piece written with the idea of creating very chill, relaxing music. It is coming from a very deep and quiet place within. It was actually inspired by the wood stove we just added to our home. The wood stove is pictured on the single cover. We got it as back up heat during power outages, but as soon as we lit our first fire, sitting around the wood stove for coffee became our favorite place to hang. Just staring into the flames is so grounding and primal. Super relaxing. It's a good thing we got our wood stove because this is the first year since we've been in New Mexico that the temperature went down to single digits. There is a country flavor to this piece using the slip note technique that Floyd Cramer invented.
